The keto diet is one that consists of consuming 5-10% of your calories from Carbohydrates, 15-20% of your calories from proteins, and lastly 65-85% of your calories from fats. To make it easier, if you are on a daily caloric intake of 2000 calories and you eat 10% as carbohydrates it would be 200 calories worth of carbs. 20% as protein would be 400 calories, leaving 70% of your calories as fats; a whopping 1400 calories from fat! It is very similar if not identical to the “counting your macros method,” (macronutrients). 🥑🥓
